Medieval History: The Crusades Encyclopedia

The Crusades Encyclopedia has a nice collection of medieval primary source texts dating back to the time of the Crusades. Such texts include letters and manuscripts, such as: letter of Alexius I Comnenus, the Siege of Tyre according to Ibn Al Qalanisi, the Franks’ capture of Antioch, the Franks’ conquest Jerusalem, and Pope Urban II’s speech at Clermont. The Crusades were one of the most pivotal moments in medieval history, and this collection gives great insight into the lives of those who experienced it first-hand.
