I haven’t been able to post to my blog much lately, or read and post to others’ blogs as much as I would like, as I’ve been really trying to finish up the 3rd/4th draft of my novel (my day job has kept me extremely busy also). I’m currently in the process of going through the edits I made on the third revision and typing those up. I only have about 30 pages left to type and then I’ll be finished. After that, I should have more time to dedicate to blogging and to hopefully editing and writing and posting some new short stories on my site. In a couple of months, I have plans to pick the novel back up for a fourth revision. This revision will include fine tuning of words/grammar, minor character and story revisions, and fact checking of medieval historical details. My overall goal for the year is to have a presentable draft of the novel that I can start shopping around to agents and publishers next year. I should also be able to put the first chapter, or a portion of the first chapter, up on my site sometime late this summer.
Good luck with the revisions. I haven’t been able to write like I want either, now that I’m so busy with the baby. Plus, the day job has picked up quite a bit the last month, which is definitely a good problem to have.
Got to go with paying jobs first, ya know.
I’m definitely looking forward to reading some Steven Till original work on your blog.
I hope to have another short story up within the next month
I’m looking forward to reading it as well
