It’s been a while since I’ve provided an update on my novel. Unfortunately, I’ve had lots of other things going on, so I’m not as far along as I’d like to be. I’m still on track to start sending out queries before the end of the year, I just have to research the query writing process a bit more.
I made a list of literary agents that I posted on my site a while back, so my first round will be to send letters to them. I also check the Guide to Literary Agents site regularly, as they will feature newer agents who are just building their client lists and can present good opportunities for new writers. I also follow Nathan Bransford’s blog, and he has good advice for writing queries. Nathan use to be an agent with Curtis Brown.
As far as editing my novel, I’m halfway through another round of tweaking. These are just minor changes, no major overhauls or rewrites this time around. I should be completed with my edits by the end of August.
